Certificate Program in Process Studies

Claremont School of Theology, which has recently created a PhD program in Process Studies, is now offering a Certificate Program in Process Studies for interested students, lay people, and specialists. The Process Studies Certificate consists of 4 classes in the area of process studies (process theology and philosophy and related areas) currently taught on a 300/400 level (totaling 12 to 16 credit units).  Individuals pursuing the certificate will choose from these classes with the help of a faculty advisor.

  1. The Process Studies Certificate is designed for students on the MA and PhD level who want to add to a specialization or additional area of expertise to their studies, and for any individual interested in “deepening” his or her knowledge of process related subjects.  The Certificate may also function as a “sneak peek” for students who are considering application to the MA or PhD in Process Studies or any other compatible MA and PhD program (after the completion of three classes).

Students will be part of regular classes, but tuition is offered at a reduced rate for non-CST-degree students. There are restrictions on transferring these courses into a degree program once the certificate has been granted.

For information and enrollment as non-degree student, please, call or email to the Admissions Office at CST (Jennifer McGowan, Associate Dean of Admissions and Recruitment (909) 447-2506). For students who are already current students at CST or another institution, please contact the Registrar’s Office at CST (Jennie J. Allen, Registrar (909) 447-2502).
